‘all our trials’

I was struck by the story about the man who had apparently been in a vegetative state for 23 years and then a doctor involved in research on this subject discovered he could both hear and understand.

Which is worse, I asked myself having a dark disposition, finding yourself awake with no way of communicating with the world or your loved ones, or being locked up in prison for a crime you didn’t commit?

When I look around the world I see SO MUCH SUFFERING. My ex-husband, whom I love dearly, says it’s because I look for it. I ask, ‘Don’t you see it?’, he says, ‘No, there are plenty of happy people if you look for them.’

Well he’s right, I suppose. Actually, he’s right quite a lot of the time but do not tell him I said so.

This is why I found my way to an astrologer about 20 years ago. I knew there was something wrong with me but the doctors gave me a clean bill of health. I was at a low point – who in their right mind would go to an astrologer instead of jumping off Beachy Head like any normal desperate person?

The astrologer, who lived in a town 50 miles away and who knew zero about me, proceeded to tell me about myself in a way that God might if I dared to ask. How did she know all this stuff? This was powerful white man’s magic.

To cut the 20 year story short, it turns out that you can find out all about yourself through your birth chart (I might have mentioned this already). That’s pretty compelling, but what’s even better is that you can also find out about EVERYONE ELSE.

I have learned that ‘all our trials’ are here on purpose. We individuals create the whole idea and semantics of the word ‘trouble’ and all the other synonyms.

It is a hard one to swallow. I’m sitting around suffering with the best of them. I could write you a list of personal experiences where death and depression crop up a whole lot. Why do we have to go through mortal life anyway?

“Mortal life is only one possibility for spirit energy to experience. It is with your terms ‘have to go through’ that you make this a difficulty instead of one event rather than another. Energy (spirit) needs a ‘place’ to move. ‘Place’ also is a term you use to try making sense of what is mostly incomprehensible to you. So Earth is part of the cosmos you are currently (another time-term) acting in. All energy continues to, and is seeking, expression.

“As human beings, you have the task of working through Earth’s demands as you experience your own creativity. What you create expresses what you have grown to be and spiritual growth is the ultimate purpose of life. Even in this it is your responsibility to try to understand and freely choose its manifestation. The incarnating spirit does not particularise its choice as difficult."

Thank you I’d forgotten.

Is everyone enthusiastic about life once the decision is made?

“You use words describing human reactions. When the spirit determines to incarnate, he has acquired sufficient strength (energy) to accomplish the change to this new existence. He is aware that there is a great deal of experience needed to help correct that imbalance between physical and spiritual worlds but feels equal to it given the help he will receive when required. Perhaps you can call that enthusiasm. Spirit would say energy.”

That’s what happens; I sit down to write a perfectly innocent blog and all the heavy stuff kicks in. Atrologically, I have Jupiter in the 10th house which in simple terms describes my career or my ‘wannabe’ self,  in a good way, as Jupiter is a friendly, happy energy. But opposing that energy, I have the sun, Saturn and Neptune in the 4th which is energy that wants to go inwards not outwards, and is not all friendly and happy. This is the road I am led to believe that I chose.
