The Last Word From Arthur

I (Jean) feel that now I might be able to once again contribute to a life with Gill by opening a channel with you Arthur, and the others you refer to. Do you think it is timely for me to do this now? If so, will you introduce me to whoever else is with you?

Yes, it is timely, especially as you and Gill are at a low ebb in spiritual energy. But both of you will receive the strength you need for rebuilding as you request it. The ‘others’ to whom I referred are part of intertwining spirits’ energies spreading over the greater spirit realm. All of us reinforce each other and have been a part of that power source at some time. As Gill has acknowledged her spirit guide (she has named, Will) it is to him she addresses herself for he is really the most able to respond to her needs even with the difficulty of lack of verbal communication. However, because of the nature of union in your life with Gill, I respond as well. We are the entities attuned to the earthly trials so stressful to you and prepared to help.

How and why exactly did I recover so well from my spinal surgery?

You recovered so well because you perfectly accepted your ability to heal. You trusted those providing care at every level and were especially strengthened by Gill’s presence and care. Within you is a deep, deep faith that you will recover supported first, by help from spirit energy as it infuses all those who offered care and those who sent spiritual love in thoughts.
The question suggested there must be a specific purpose in saving this particular life or extending it so long. For you, adjusting to the weakening of various faculties as you age is a big challenge (purpose) to accept in the same way as healing spinal surgery. If you can see these changes as unhampering, you will be able to seek a purpose.

You once said in answer to our question: Why do we have to go through mortal life anyway? And why Earth? That “Mortal life is only one possibility for spirit energy to experience. It is with your terms ‘have to go through’ that you make this a difficulty instead of one event rather than another. ……’
We look around the world and see such daily suffering. Are you saying that we are responsible for making this up and that it is not really so?

Suffering is real. You do not make it up. It is, however, part of all sentient beings’ experience. The recognition of its universality leads it to increase the most positive of actions as the need to relieve it moves more and more people in the world to act.

Will there ever be a time when sentient beings will not suffer?

Yes. To reach that point that you call suffering will be less and less painful and more manageable even in extremes. Healing will be an automatic and successful response to all creatures, from all creatures.

Is there existence for energy anywhere in the universe which we might think is worse than life on Earth?

Yes, you would conceive it so.

Can you please suggest a specific project that will excite our spiritual energies or must it be a matter of our own creativity?

No. It will come from your own creativity.

Is it our choice at some level, and in the present time, to pass on into spirit? If not, why not?

No. God is life’s force, a gift he shares with each of his earthly creatures. You were taken from spirit realm for further creative living on Earth, particularly to develop skill in healing. He has not granted freedom to return to spirit when you choose. He will determine it.

Is the slow rhythm of our current routine likely to continue at this pace for both of us for the winter season and beyond?

I would not predict such a time of slow pace. For the present (as you know) you can find variable tempo in following stories on the TV (DVD), reading, both fiction and non-fiction, and even news etc. as you do. Such stimulation may lead to a change of your own devising.

Gill has a question which seeks to further understand the world of spirit: we understand that spirit exists neither in time or place and that spirit is somehow aware of all possible outcomes and potential outcomes. This being so, why is it not possible for you to ‘see’ or ‘feel’ the energy of what we would call ‘the future’, perhaps in the same way that you have an overview of ‘the past’?

Being aware of all possibilities does not make spirit ‘see or feel’ which will occur at any one instant. In the next moment it may have changed. The ‘future’ is not set in a timeless world.

When spirit connects with our world on Earth, are you limited in expression according to our human limitations? Is it not possible to enhance our awareness through your presence?

Spirit is limited by human abilities of expression and comprehension. Sometimes it is a result of contact to make you more aware through our presence, and in so doing enhance the connection, but we have to bypass confusion to achieve this.

Please will you help me to articulate my faith and express the purpose of my life now and the reason for life with Gill and others?

1. Your faith is an unquestioning knowing and feeling of unity with the Creator. No words of yours can make that available to others. It must come unsought as it did to you.
2. Your purpose now is to experience the physical world through your physical body as it matures. Through your life you have appreciated the creation of the natural world and the creation man has made of it. Where there are needs you can recognise and assist in fulfilling, you do it regardless of your lessening vitality.
3. Gill has always felt there must be a reason for everything she sees, touches, hears etc., and if she thought carefully she could learn what it is. Moreover she feels it is incumbent on her as it explains why you live on this earth. If you can also seek the underlying meaning of experience, whether it is an unusual series of numbers, the crying of seagulls, or children playing on the beach, it should liven you both with a sense of purpose. In other words there is purpose in every effort, in every effort (sic), to understand what goes on in the world where you live. You, Jean, haven’t found the need to know, but it would help you to live with Gill which you deeply want, if you open your mind to them. Pay attention to even fleeting explanations. You do respond ‘psychically’ if you allow it. It is a wonderful coupling for you if you can, as you will lose the sense of guilt which otherwise spoils it. Gill will feel it worth the effort she has expended on you.

Does Gill have a special “gift”?
What is her ‘passion’ or ‘dream’, perhaps ‘life-purpose’?

Gill knows better than most that every soul comes to incarnate with ‘special gifts’. That is the purpose of creating everyone unlike any other. She is really asking what sets her apart to recognise her ‘life-purpose’. If she just knew that, she can get on with it.
In fact asks it exactly, ‘what is my dream, my passion, etc. No one including spirits observing souls on earth can make that choice. Making that choice is the ‘special requirement’ (gift) of each one. There is no mistake whatever is chosen. At this point spirits are able to help.

Will spirit help by answering my plea If not, why not?
Gill has built increasing understanding of this difficult world through study of astrology. She has successfully counselled others using this ability. For her I would advise that she use that technique on herself. Every request for help is answered. It doesn’t read like a text or reference. She still must work out what to do, but ideas will arise especially if she writes anything that comes to mind.
Jean, sit at the keyboard for daily practice to acquire some increase of technique to help in composing. Ideas are there. You need to develop and finish the started piece.

(Gill asks if there is such a thing as karma.) It seems that there has been a surge of energy lately, perhaps it was what Diana has referred to. Could you enlighten us further about this and say if the positive effects will remain? Does it explain Gill’s effort towards greater discipline and my queasiness? If so, why would that be?

The surge of energy you perceive is real. To adjust to any such change in your world is demanding. There is karma following life-times; it too is demanding. Gill has made a habit of ‘paying as you go’. She will find it easier than many.

We ask for spirit’s help time and again, which you say we should do, but you say it is up to us to take a different view, to change the way to view our reality. Is there no outside force impacting on our lives at this time at all? For example, the change into a higher frequency of energy described by Karen Bishop.

Yes, but not like plugging into an electric socket. Change in higher vibrating frequency is building in the whole world daily affecting ever larger numbers of people positively.
