Jean's anniversary

Here is someone finding support in an apparently (momentary?) authentic Bible to lend support to an apparently unauthentic Muhammad (and Islam).

“There were no miracles to prove Muhammad’s claim of being a godly conduit. There were no healings, walking on water, parting seas, raising folks from the dead, or feeding multitudes. And there are no fulfilled prophecies, like the exacting and detailed predictions that Biblical prophets routinely made to demonstrate their divine authority. But the most troubling part about our absolute reliance on Muhammad’s testimony that he and his Qur'an were divinely inspired is that the prophet's character was as deficient, and his life was as despicable, as anyone who has ever lived.”

So, presumably, at least at the time of writing, the writer believes in the miracles that he mentions. He does use the phrase 'spiritual truth' - but does he know what it means?

I love this comparison because it lends a certain justification to all the stuff I rattle on about in this blog. What is a miracle? It’s something that we don’t understand. Do they happen nowadays? Yes……

What’s a religion? It’s a commonly held belief in a transpersonal power.

When your left and right brain stand in perfect balance, all will be revealed. (The key word is balance, not brain.)

Today I have the transiting sun opposite natal Chiron: I was almost reversed into on my motorbike by a guy backing out of  a disabled parking bay; I was thrown a passing insult by three men sitting on the pavement in the sun and I was stung on my neck by a lethal insect. Plus an old friend in the worst of places phoned up for a word about some medication. A graphic illustration of the wounded healer archetype.

Jean died one year ago: we are doing better now.
