Let’s suppose for just a minute that astrology works and that your birth-chart - i.e. where the sun, the moon and the planets were positioned in the sky when you were born - actually means something. In fact, let’s hypothetically believe that your personal horoscope really is the map for planning and explaining your whole life. Wouldn’t that be something else? It’s akin to imagining that school teachers really do teach anything worth learning and that your children really do need to learn from them.
The patterns are there from the start and then they begin to form within the psyche. Astrologers look in particular at the placement of the moon and Saturn and the 4th and 10th houses and the Ascendant, as well as at the 1st and 12th houses for information about the parental influence (or lack of).
Suspending your disbelief, and imagining that the astrologer has something right, how come you managed to be born at that exact time and in that exact place?
